As you are probably aware, the news site, www.DailyKenoshan.com, crashed and burned. After many days of failed attempts to revive it, we gave up. As there was never a return on investment, the amount of work, the amount of loss, and the perceived value of the site just could not warrant any further expense or time.

We could not, however, feel good about losing more than 50,000 forum posts from so many since 2004, so this page is what's left, the DailyKenoshan forums.

Franken joins the likes of Sonny Bono, Clint Eastwood, Ronald Reagen, Jesse Ventura, Fred Thompson, and Gopher of Loveboat fame to make the jump from entertainer to politician. Franken graduated from cum laude from Harvard with a degree in political science. He became known as a star on Saturday Night Live and a few movies, most of which are forgettable. He later became a left wing political commentator, taking digs at right wing political commentators and right wing politicians. He write a few books that made the bestseller list. He received the USO merit award for his service entertaining injured service members and US troops abroad for over 10 years. He met his wife while at college and they have a couple of kids, I think. So they've been married quite a while, probably longer than most people we know. Not that that means anything one way or the other. He begins his 5.5 year Senate term today.

	POLICE ADVISORY on Pinnacle Security \| 26 Jun 09
17:52:01 by John \| Views: 164 \| Comments: 0 The Kenosha Police Department is advising citizens that the City Clerk’s office has denied applications for peddler licenses from individuals selling for Pinnacle Security. The applications were denied due to ten complaints received in the last year by the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection. Citizens are encouraged to call the police with any complaints regarding people trying to solicit business for Pinnacle Security.

	Fatal Crash on Hwy K claims two teen lives \| 25 Jun 09
10:41:24 by John \| Views: 373 \| Comments: 2 Yesterday at approximately 7:16 PM, Kenosha Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of fatal accident in the Town of Brighton. The single vehicle accident occurred in 29600 blk. of CTH K (60st). Initial reports indicate that a 2003 VW Jetta was traveling westbound on CTH K when it lost control. The vehicle veered into the right ditch and rolled over. No other vehicles were involved. There were three occupants in the vehicle. Both the driver and front seat passenger were ejected during the crash. They were found deceased at the scene. They were not wearing seatbelts. The rear seat passenger was also injured but remained in the vehicle. She was transported to Aurora Hospital. All three victims were females between 18-19 yrs old. All are from the Salem and Trevor areas of Kenosha County. The victim’s identities will not be released until family members can be notified. Speed appears to have been a factor; however this accident remains under investigation. UPDATE: 6/25/09 0930hrs The victims from this crash have been identified as: * Denise Dooley (18) Driver Deceased * Alivia Manon (18) Front passenger Deceased * Tanya Nitschneider (18) Rear passenger Non-life threatening injuries The Kenosha Sheriff’s Department is saddened by this senseless loss and wishes remind the public about the dangers of excessive speed and not wearing seatbelts.
